So have not updated in ten years. :) But it is ok. Life is pretty peachy right now. I went to the record store yesterday and acquired like 9 cds. It was amazing. haha. School starts in about two weeks. Yikes. Sophomore year... and then college will be over so soon. It is crazy. But this upcoming year should be great. :)

Death, death DEATH... aghh...

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.—Christian students at high schools across the nation will participate April 14 in a “Day of Truth,” designed to counter the promotion of the homosexual agenda and peacefully express an opposing viewpoint from a Christian perspective.

“The Day of Truth is not a disruptive day of silence,” said Alan Sears, president and CEO of the Alliance Defense Fund, which is sponsoring the event and offering assistance to students who initiate it at their schools. “The Day of Truth is intended to speak the truth in a manner that is respectful and non-disruptive. By participating, students express their desire to show compassion for those who are targets of misleading campaigns by groups that promote homosexual behavior often without being fully honest about its consequences.”

Students participating in this event will wear “Day of Truth” T-shirts and/or pass out cards during school hours, but outside of class time, with the following message:

I am speaking the Truth to break the silence. I believe in equal treatment for all, and not special rights for a few. I believe in loving my neighbor, but part of that love means not condoning detrimental personal and social behavior. I believe that by boldly proclaiming the Truth, hurts will be halted, hearts will be healed, and lives will be saved.
The Day of Truth will be held on the day after the Day of Silence, sponsored by the Gay, Lesbian, Straight Educational Network (GLSEN), which asks students to remain silent for an entire day to express their support for the promotion of the homosexual agenda in the public schools.

“Unlike the Day of Silence, on which students are supposed to refuse to speak to teachers and school administrators, the Day of Truth does not call for students to engage in activities which are likely to disrupt the school’s academic mission,” Sears explained. “It is a day to speak the truth in a polite, winsome, and attractive manner, not a day to cause hardship.”

OMG...breathe in, breathe out...

Yay Arizona! [Apr. 3rd, 2005|10:46 pm]

So i didn't get into yale either. Boo yale.

On to happier thoughts and such:
I am in the wonderful land of Arizona right now. It is hot. Mr Dan Foley and his loverly boyfriend Mr. Blake were my tourguides on this adventure. We went to a million places. We even studied. Yay for passing classes. I got to experience a Lavender Mint Blend, which was really delicious, and got to go shopping in the most fanastic mall EVER! yay for big malls with waterfalls. ASU is really beautiful. I love the campus. It is so big it is amazing. So now all that is left to do is my amazing tour tomorrow morning. Yay. So i have narrowed my decision down to either ASU (with a full scholarship), UCLA (with 1/2 financial aid) and UC San Diego (with i don't know what financial aid yet). Leave me a note with your opinion if you'd like.

Congratulations! You scored 84%!
You made it out, alive and well supplied. You probably even kept most of your party alive too. You know what to look for, what to take, and when to just run. You even feel a strange inkling to go back. If you did, you'd probably do just fine.

My test tracked 1 variable How you compared to other people your age and gender:

[Beats |"Me and Mia" -Ted Leo and the Pharmacsists]

So there is this song, ("Me and Mia" by Ted Leo and the Pharmascists) that i really liked. I would rock out to it and such. Then Jen tells me that she learned from adam that it is about buliMIA and AN(A)orexia. How sad. So my song of awesomeness is really about eating disorders. Nice.

and for those curious kiddies, lyrics:

As I was walking through a life one morning
the sun was out, the air was warm, but
Oh, I was cold
And though I must have looked a half a person,
to tell the tale, in my own version,
It was only then that I felt whole

But do you believe in something beautiful?
Then get up and be it

Fighting for the smallest goal to, get a little self-contol
I know how hard you try. I see it in your eyes
But call your friends, 'cause we've forgotten what it's like to eat what's rotten
And what's eating you alive might help you to survive.

We went on as we were on a mission, latest in a Grand Tradition
And oh, what did we find?
It was Ego who was flying the banner, and me and Mia, Ann and Ana
Oh, we'd been unkind

But do you believe in something beautiful?
Then get up and be it

Fighting for the smallest goal: to get a little self-control
I see it in your eyes, I see it in your spine.
But call your friends,
'cause we've forgotten what it's like to eat what's rotten
And what's eating you alive, might help you to survive.

And even the nights, they can get better
And even the days ain't all that bad
And after a week of fighting, as more and more it seems the right thing

But do you believe in something beautiful?
Then get up and be it

Fighting for the smallest goal to, gain a little self-control
Won't anybody here just let you disappear?
Not doctors, nor your mom nor dad, but me and Mia, Ann and Ana
Know how hard you try. Don't you see it in my eyes?

Sick to death of my dependence, fighting food to find transcendence
Fighting to survive, more dead but more alive
Cigarettes and speed to live and, sleeping pills to feel forgiven
All that you contrive, and all that you're deprived
All the bourgeois social angels telling you you've got to change
Don't have any idea. They'll never see so clear.
But don't forget what it really means to hunger strike
when you don't really need to
Some are dying for a cause, but that don't make it yours.

And even the nights, they can get better.]

OMG- So this was the best weekend i have had in a LONG time. I love it. I love JSA. In all my years of conventions, this was quite possibly my FAVORITE one! OMG!

Highlights:

The tree/metal detector fiasco

Debating a bill the NO ONE supported (fun times...)

Meeting a gazillion boys i would MARRY

Seeing cool kids like emru

Declaring that i was NOT walking to the mall in heels, then proceeding to do so TWICE for lunch and dinner

The Taco man...man o man...the taco man is LOVE

The gay agenda mauhahaha

Farming babies in switzerland- fabulous

Getting jiggy with it at the dance

Going to the vegas room, grabbing beads, then running around distributing

Taking for hours with my super awesome roomies

People NOT clapping on beat- like incapable of doing so...it was awesome

Talking to fabulous boys about SOCO and such

But really, if ya'll didn't come, ya'll missed out. It was baller and you guys shoulda come. Seriously though, come to spring state. It will be amazing and life altering and will basically convert you to the religion of JSAism. Really, it is fanfuckingtastic.

on another note, i love sarah. She is so hilarious and i love amira too.

"Scoff. I don't study...in PUBLIC! It is shameful."

-uttered as we are SITTING AT STARBUCKS STUDYING

"Just get out your key!"

Also, i went to work today and got some artichoke tea. Interesting.

I am so done with school, it is ridiculous. Well, really with one aspect. Damn.
